This 100%.

I also find it hilarious yet not unexpected that the community would bully other players for not being in their group, then turn around and call themselves most welcoming.

What if someone doesn't have Discord and doesn't want it? Why would they require a 3rd-party application to be able to clear game content? We have parties attempting to monopolize the tower, repeating ad nauseam "you need to join this platform to participate", and I'm supposed to support that? Especially when we add in the frankly shameful behavior that's been reported from these pre-mades?

You don't "own" a piece of free-for-all content. Get over yourselves.

In the end though, the blame lay fully on Square-E's feet. They had good entry systems still in the game's code, that they outright ignored and dumped for this mess. Not only that, but the limitations within the tower are ridiculous and only help with the teeth-gnashing between lone players and groups.

Hearing the whole schtick with the Forked Tower doesn't make me want to try it at all, it simply makes me skip this content entirely.

You know, there's this thing in the game called the "party chat". I can understand it being annoying at times, but it's a very effective communication tool that could, perhaps, help coordinate your group with the random people so that you're all on the same page. Most entering the tower without pre-mades are, I imagine, open to learning and helping out and not just there to grief your group.
