Yep, there are mandatory phantom job requirements. If you don't have them because you entered with an uncoordinated PUG like the game seems to want, you just abandon the run.

This is definitely happening and very expected behavior from these schedueled runs. The thing's a mess and god knows how long it'll take SE to actually take note and do a simple patch to fix it.

What a surprise, huh? When the game's going downstream and there are dead DCs where you can't even find a decent 8-man team. Then they want you to find 47 other people for a run that requires coordination.

They design this content with Japanese customs and social behavior in mind (because they literally can’t think otherwise), what a big surprise it doesn’t really work in Murica and Euroland…

I mean there must be a reason why every Japanese and Korean domestic MMO is geoblocked…

As much as there's a bit of exaggeration in OP's post entering does suck. What's worse is they know how to fix it as they had a good system with Dynamis in 11, leader has hourglass and then breaks it and trades to each player. Only those with hourglass can enter same instance.

It's quite remarkable, given the feedback to CAR and the frustration it was directed at the high-skill end of the player spectrum, that SE directed this expected midcore content at the exact same demographic, but pissed them off by making it even more difficult to enter.

If any Discord group says that, they'd better have a plan to kill the support boss when it spawns, because asking players outside to kill it for them may not work

The funny thing is that the support boss isn't required at all to clear. It's (presumably) the main reason Forked Tower is located inside the instance in the first place, but it's also completely pointless besides being associated with a cool puzzle that gives people outside some pity sanguinite. Wasn't really worth it, IMO
