Fortune Carrots in OC

I have been in OC since the content has been out, and I open up chests pretty frequently. I have gotten 4 naturally, and got a 5th one off the market board (someone messed up their offer).
You're better off just selling the carrot to a viera player who wants the achievement. There are other achievements in the game that are long term efforts, but none of them require both a time commitment and literal billions of gil to do. Doing it "naturally", even accounting for the fact this will probably also be done in North Horn, will take you thousands of hours at the drop rate. (And you have to actually do the content to respawn chests) And the rewards in the chest are most of the time not even worth it.

Shame it's the adorable title, but yeah, most ppl aren't that into titles, but this is the most painful title farm from OC based on pure gil required.

I have gotten quite a few carrots, 6 or 7, on the road to 20. But none of them have yielded anything outside of fireworks and materia. Unfortunately with these sorts of drop rates and the fact that (as far as I know anyway) you need to participate in CE and fates to get chests to spawn to begin with, there is no real reason to go back into OC now that I got my demimateria. Cause fate farming, whether they wanna gussy them up by calling them CE or not, is just not a type of content that appeals to me in the slightest. Especially with this sort of lackluster reward system.

1000 happy bunnies
1000 persistent pots
5000 normal chests

does SE think this is reasonable?

the CE/fate ones are fine
I'm not sure about 100 Forked Tower as I haven't been in there but that seems fine too

(not nearly as important but I find it funny they're all 5 achievement points each)

the achievements will be relevant until 8.0, they also carry over to the next zone in a few months. I dont think it will be a big deal to finish them until this expansion ends. There are faaaar "worse" achievements in this game, when it comes to time investment. Those are easy and you can finish all of them at once. Only the bunny one is dumb, but could also be finished fairly quick if you invest enough gil

I got one, but I wasn't even trying. I highly doubt this achievement would take five years if you were actively grinding for it on the regular.

Unless they tweak the rates, yes it will take 5 years.
I've spent a good portion of my time opening chests and as others have mentioned it has a droprate of 1% (my own data size is 1000 opened with 11 carrots).
At 1%, and 1 bronze every 10 minutes non-stop, it would take you about 2 years to get it (assuming you open 100 000 chests to get 1000 carrots (1%)). 5 years if you do nothing but play this game, eat food, do minimal exercise to not die, sleep is a reasonable estimate.


I think 5000 chests opened is reasonable.
I think even 1000 pots, even if quite mind-numbingly slow is feasible if terribly boring (though I'd much prefer 100 pots as a reasonable number, I could see people getting to 1000 solo)
But 100000 chests opened, if you don't just buy the carrots?

Just because there exists something worse doesn't make it any less bad. They set an arbitrary number of 5000 chests that only spawn after you've done FATEs/CEs. Pot FATEs don't spawn as often and you have to actually get to the location afterwards.
Really arguing that it'll take 200 hours instead of 1000 when neither are acceptable.

The 5000 chests is actually pretty doable, considering it's probably obtainable in North Horn when that's out as well. Just grabbing chests randomly I'm near the 1k mark.
The pot one is a bit worse, but doable if you were to focus solely on doing them.
Funny thing is the one you posted saying "seems fine" is probably one of the bigger "what the..." achievements in the list. Both BA and DRS only go up to a "complete 10 times" achievement, which is perfectly reasonable. With how FT is set up, even 10 is a rough ask, but doable... But 100???

They should put Fortune Carrots on the Rewards Roulettes in Cosmic Exploration, would create an interesting synergy between Cosmic Exploration and Occult Crescent

3 carrots in 400 chests. The achievement is absurd for 1000. I hope the drop rate is altered or they add an option to exchange currencies (silver, gold, or sangunite) for them. Could also add them as a potential reward for opening chests from the pots, since the rewards for them...are nonexistent.
