Are you kidding me? There's more than one "efficient" way besides the "best" way. This is what you're failing to understand. You substituted the "most efficient way" for "the only efficient way," completely forgetting about allllll that shit inbetween. So yes, math does work that way. Math tells you what is best, what is not as good, what is terrible, and what is utter garbage. So let me ask you, are all weapon besides Ifrits Harpoon "garbage"? Are they? OF course not. Are they as good. Not they're not. But are you going to run around calling everyone's class garbage because they're not using the best most efficient weapon that exists in the game? I hope not, or I would have to conclude you are brainless.

No one is disputing your claim to Ifrits being superior, though thats yet to be proven as of now with the new weapons. But I digress from that point. I am disputing your narrow way of thinking that anything inferior to the best gear possible is necessarily garbage. That is such an erroneous way of thinking I'm not sure whether to call you a troll, ignorant, or just misguided. I dont think you are trying to say that, but that *is* exactly what you have been saying. If you want to refine your point, go right ahead, but the OP wont be garbage for using a weapon you deem as inferior to the absolute best. There are "good" weapons, "comparable" weapons, and "average" weapons that exist before Ifrit weapons you know. You do know that right?

Math does not tell you what is good, bad or indifferent as those are subjective, emotionally loaded terms that cannot be measured on a mathematical scale. Math tells you two things :

1.) What the correct answer is.

2.) What the most efficient way to reach the correct answer is.

There are no multiple valid answers in math. A solution to a mathematical problem is either correct or incorrect.

Ifrit will probably outparses by small margin because attack+30 isnt gonna suddenly raieses you to top, but u'd look like everyone else in this game using ifrit, there is no fun in that.

No it doesn't. Math tells you what is correct and what is incorrect. It is correct that Ifrit's Harpoon deals more damage, period. Whether you or anyone else infers that it means it's good, bad or indifferent has nothing to do with math.
