The 7.2 patch series was already "make or break" for a lot of people this expansion, where Cosmic Exploration and Occult Crescent have had a mixed reception at best.
I think mixed reception for OC is selling it a bit short, the only thing people seem to have any problem with is the relic atma RNG and that’s not really OC itself that’s the relic

As for OC itself that I wouldn’t say has mixed reception

cosmic is definitely more towards mixed though
