as i said before love. I wish, hope and dream of that too.It won't for many people, but it will for others. If it's enough, then hopefully they'll start listening to feedback and devote more resources to the housing team. Though, I'd prefer they try to pre-emptively fix their issues before the WoW version comes out instead of reacting to it.
BUT with SE being how it is, it have not heard or listened to ANYONE, except the PvPers and Raiders for the looongest time.
A hope is that bright light burning within each and everyone of us!

They dont need to fix it, it works perfectly as intended, keeps people subscribed thanks to auto demo, and forces people to bid for years to get a medium/large house, at the very least months if good RNGIt won't for many people, but it will for others. Sounds like a winning recipe to me, no matter how unhappy people are, from a financial point of view it's a good thing. Why would they fix it ? So people can enjoy their free instanced house that they'll use for an hour, maybe a day, hell maybe a week, and then leave to rot forever ?
Sadly, this seems to be the case much like they force you to buy the expensive glams over for any alts instead of all Mogstation purchases being accountwide. It also took my OG main 7 years to win her personal large in LB in Exodus but my main alt in Seraph did enjoy it when it first went live so it made the wait much more bearable. They dont need to fix it, it works perfectly as intended, keeps people subscribed thanks to auto demo, and forces people to bid for years to get a medium/large house, at the very least months if good RNG

No matter how good WoW's housing system is, it won't be enough for me to want to switch over, and likely others as well. But yeah, FFXIV needs to get their shit together with its housing system. Please make modernizing the housing system a priority for at the very least least 8.0.
I concur, I have nearly a decade (Fall 2015) in this game and I won't ever play WoW as well and their cartoonish graphics also turn me off along with the biggest reason..... no catgirls lol. I do hope SE does make major improvements to housing going forward or they may lose players to WoW because of housing. No matter how good WoW's housing system is, it won't be enough for me to want to switch over, and likely others as well. I just wanna see how's it settled after a few monthes. Will it maintain the hype? Or will it settle into how housing is here. Where players have it but get bored of it an move on. So many says SWG had the best housing. But that alone wasn't enough to save it.. And given how so many wards have plots but are usually vacant because players want to decorate, but once they are finished they move onto other things and usually hang out in player filled hubs.
So because it's a new feature and people are gonna enjoy the crap out of it.Something new. But give it 3 to 6 months and see where the playerbase lands on it.
I want more wards, I want different layout size plots. I want the apartments to be a little smaller than the largest small layout. ( I think players should want to strive for something bigger. Myself.I wanted a mansion like everybody else but I grew fond of my two smalls. I prefer it over the medium I was trying figure out how to decorate and lost due to the demo timer)
