Cosmic Exploration is Bad

What part of "this is supposed to be leveling content, not just for max level pentamelded gatherers" do you not understand? This is why you're clearly white knighting for Cosmic Explorations. You only allow and approve of certain, specific, criticisms. But if that criticism falls outside your "approved list" you charge to the rescue and try your best to squash it.

It's really kind of pathetic.

You don't get to determine what is, or isn't, "valid criticism", especially when the same or similar criticisms are being voiced not just by me, but by a LOT of others, including hardcore players.

Cosmic Explorations is for anyone level 10 or higher. This was meant to be leveling content. As leveling content, you shouldn't need penta-melded BiS gear if you're below level 100, and even then, you shouldn't need it unless you're almost done with your relic.

And you don’t need it unless you are doing something horribly wrong…….which you won’t explain to us especially if you are doing C and D ranks

It’s not hard to simulate low level crafters/gatherers by simply removing gear pieces to approximate old level ranges by their breakpoint; hell since they sync to 100 but you are wearing only half your gear simulating level 50 is actually harder than being true level 50. And these missions still aren’t hard (outside the A ranks but they ARE pentamelded content)

It’s obvious you are doing something wrong and people want (well wanted) to help you but you won’t explain your problem. What is your gear, what are your stats, what missions are you trying to do

Like I said if you believe that the levelling experience is opaque that’s a fully valid criticism, what isn’t valid is when people try to help you you just go “it’s bad it’s bad it’s bad” “why’s it bad” “it’s bad and I hate you”

Like everyone here besides you knows you are doing something wrong and people are trying to help you, wouldn’t actually getting help so you can do the content properly then form a reasonable complaint about how opaque the levelling experience is be a more productive use of your time

What exactly are you struggling with?

Are you performing the rank D stellar missions. They your first port of call, rank D missions should be relatively easy for someone of any level

What gear did you buy? What level are you at based on your gear?

If you are synced then your gear may be playing a larger part than you expect but (in the nicest way possible) you may have bought the wrong gear

I even agreed with you it was bad that game kept telling you to upgrade your ilvl but the items you buy from cosmic are actually downgrades but that doesn’t change the fact that it was your gear and you objectively bought the wrong gear (notice I never insulted you for it)

There are legit criticisms to this content, you owning the wrong gear then telling everyone else they are wrong is not a complaint. Crafter and gatherer content usually is considered more casual as the skill ceiling isn't as high. There are a lot of resources out there helping you to equip yourself optimally or assisting you in creating macros or finding the perfect rotations if you are doing it by hand. Same goes for gatherers with 960GP rotations for collectables etc.

TeamCraft is an excellent resource for all that kind of information.

All crafting missions from D-B aren't time limited either. One could argue that having the gathering missions on a timer is a bit too much.

A-missions are meant for Level 100 as it is clearly stated in-game. And I really did enjoy solving those recipes as some of them were tricky. Felt like a good puzzle

The perception comes from the fact that you can start doing Cosmic Explorations at level 10. I'm a level 97 fisher, the minimum iLvl for gear for D rank stuff is 595 or something like that... when I was in my lvl 90 script gear, I wasn't catching anything. When I bought the gear from the Cosmic Explorations vendor, I then started to catch stuff, but I was still failing more than succeeding.

This is a very specific problem for gatherers. Crafters are having the easiest time in the world because they can use macros and they don't actually have to try or rely on RNG like gatherers, specifically fishers, do. Cosmic Explorations was made for crafters, not gatherers, who were a forgotten afterthought.

And again, this isn't just my opinion that Cosmic Explorations is bad for gatherers, it's the opinion of a lot of people, including hardcore players like Mr. Happy and others.

You can be wrong all you want, it won't change the fact that you are wrong. When I was using my level 90 script gear I wasn't succeeding at all. When I used the vendor gear from Cosmic Explorations, I was at least able to succeed every once in a while. Since I'm not level 100 yet, I can't wear the BiS gear.

So you can keep blaming anything and everything under the sun except for the content all you want, all it does is show how much of a white knight you are.
