90% of the crafts are dirt easy and can be macro'ed. There are a few exceptions but you dont even need to craft those items, simply stick to the easy stuff that you are comfortable with

also its crafting + gathering endgame, ofcourse they will require good gear at some point
you wouldnt enter savage or ultimates without melds and gear neither

I've said the difficulty doesn't scale with the reward, not that i don't like the difficulty. For me the best recipes we had was in ARR. In my opinion everything should scale to the last weapon being the pentamelded tool or a better final reward on each tool end stage and I dont mean just for the last update of the expansion.

Crafted+Pentamelded is just a test of whether you can play the marketboard, i.e.: have lots of ingame cash.

You just buy the crafted tool, a few hundred materia, click 5 times, done? How is that "difficult"?

In my opinion it's more of a test to see if you've got the patience to move forward to the FINAL Expert recipes that you can't macro i.e Otter Fountain parts.
