I wouldn't call it ridiculous difficulty...

There's certainly some challenging recipes on A3, but most of A-1 and A-2 are pretty comfortable.

It would be nice if they were a bit better than what they are, since it's just effectively a scrip tool, and I do think considering all the work involved, it should have at least 1 or 2 meld slots just to put it a cut above scrip.

It's ridiculous in what's needed to get gold. It would be just as ridiculous if you needed pentamelded gear to farm scrips for the scrip weapon.

Not really, and besides there's only a select few recipes where you should be struggling to get gold, and if you have a pentamelded tool then in my opinion there should be no reason that you aren't macroing half of these recipes to gold anyway, and more often than not the ones you can macro to gold are generally the best for data logs which is what the relic requires.

and these relics get progressively easier. I'm just finished my 5th relic and when I work on the 6th relic my boost to data logs will be +150%, which makes subsequent relics very pain free.
