Cosmic Exploration is Bad

No, you're just bad at the game. Read the tutorials and dialogs carefully, it explains everything. If that fails try to find some tutorials on Youtube. I had zero issues in leveling up and got my Fisher to 100 on day 1 because the missions are super fast and easy to do, you just have to pay attention, read the mission objective and use appropriate skills.


Example: i completed a mission in less than 20 seconds because all i did is use Chum a couple times.


Repeat this a bunch of times and i leveled up quickly. The game also tells you to use the vendor gear as the gear breakpoints change every level and you won't hit them with lvl90 gear due to the Sync. Ideally you should just craft your own gear and meld it, and cycle it out every few levels.

PS: the Infrastructure Projects are super lame and badly designed, that i concede.

i also think its bad. mainly because its solo content.
its about building a base together.... even the first few hours when it actually was about building a base it was more of a single player than anything else though.

you would think in a content thats about building something together there would be actually a way to interact with other people... like acquiring mats from gatherers.

and who would have thought their statement about how you can do it in a group just means we are able to do it in a group without anything to do together? why are there no teamprojects to do in this kinda big piece of content in a MMO?

instead we get this solo content in which we can craft and gather in an even more minimalistic way than anywhere else. interrupted only by a few occasional fates. not many though so it gets old quickly.... most people propaly missed the upgrade fates too.

im not even really disappointed i just think its ridiculous that they didnt take this chance to make mmo content for this mmo

Mr. Happy said he made the mistake of starting with fisher too - it's arguably the hardest of them, since the RNG procs are every 15-30 seconds instead of every 2 seconds like in crafting or gathering.

That said, this is casual content. That's not the same as "free" content or even "easy" content. The crafting and gathering relic grinds in other expansions have also had similar levels of difficulty. Hell, just the normal fishing quests are ridiculously grindy - Feasts of Famine takes people months!

I don't even know what you're talking about when you say "Free". As for casual... yes, that means "easy". As in I shouldh't have to be a g*d d*mned penta-melded omnicrafter to play this b*llsh*t "casual" content.

This is the first time that I've ever felt like SE has actually failed at the game.

And if all you're going to do is try to come back at me and try to tell me I'm wrong or that I "just don't understand" all you'll be doing is wasting your breath.

I'm p*ssed off by this and Cosmic Explorations SUCK. End of story. If you like playing broken, crappy, worthless content, then please, keep playing it and have fun, but I won't play it again unless it gets a major overhaul in how it's done.

But with how badly they failed at this "casual" content, I have almost no hope at all for the Cosmic Exploration being any good or even dooable for an actual casual player like myself. It will probably be some b*llsh*t like the Chaotic World of Darkness, I was looking forward to it until I saw it was essentially Savage content. I don't have the time of the skill for that kind of sh*t and I'm getting a little sick of the game almost exclusively catering towards the ultra elite players just because they're a vocal minority.

I’m not sure why you are saying “imagine how bad levelling is when A ranks are so hard” when A ranks are specifically designed to be content that isn’t easy

If you want to macro with no food on mid tier pentamelded gear then simply do B ranks. The missions that give tier 4 data in the A rank are intentionally harder

the purpose is to keep people busy with content

They dont keep people busy with it, if they make it the new fastest leveling method available
And leveling crafters/gatherers already is ridiculously fast in this game

farm your relics and the new 5.5m pt mount and get some levels along the way, thats the purpose

Who cares about some f*cking random *ss mount that I won't get and couldn't care less about.

I was told this was an area to level your crafters and gatherers. After two f*cking days of grinding for a total of 8 hours I got about a level and a half and failed over and over and over and over and over again at the stupid missions.

And honestly, I don't really care about the relic either. All I wanted to do was level my gatherers and maybe try leveling a crafter at some point. But at this point in time I don't even want to play the g*d d*amned game because this has left such a bad taste in my mouth.

If you can't understand that, then just move along and enjoy your sh*tty content, but don't try to gaslight me and others who are telling you that from our perspective and experience, this is BAD content and either needs to be change or I won't do it.

Some people will see a failure as a puzzle to solve. Others will take to the forums and loudly proclaim that the game is terrible because it made them feel bad.

And then people like you will come in hear and try to invalidate any opinion that you don't like or agree with because it makes you feel bad.

And a failure is a failure. The devs failed at Cosmic Exploration, if you like it, good for you, don't don't have to reply to a post of someone who thinks it's sh*t. Just go back to your beloved failure and keep your non-helpful comments to yourself.

I disagree... Chaotic is exclusively savage content.

Cosmic (For quite a few issues it has), it still appeals quite heavily to casuals.. It is casual content that casual players can engage with quite extensively if they so wish... It is also just content that has some difficult counterparts for those desiring more of a challenge, but honestly to do everything, e.g., contribute to server progression and to do relics you barely need to engage with the more challenging components, and the relics progressively get easier.

Most of the A-1/A-2 recipes can be macro'd with relative ease, if you were also able to do the 3* recipes.

After first relic the rate of data logs increases by 50%, and then it increases by an additional 50% for every other relic, e.g., 100% when working on 4th relic.

Are you on dr*gs? I AM a casual player and I can NOT engage with Cosmic Exploration in its current state. It SUCKS because I can't use it to effectively level the one gatherer I actually like playing.

It shouldn't take my 2 days to get a level and a half in fisher because I fail at almost every mission repeatedly because they're only meant for omni-crafter/gatherers to actually do. That's not f*cking "casual", that's a hardcore Savage tier grind, and it sucks.

They make content for people that do things other than play through the story quest and unsub for 2 years? Amazing.

I have been subbed for years at this point. No breaks. But I'm not a kid or some streamer whose job it is to play video games all day.

I have a limited amount of time I can play this game, maybe 10 hours or so a week. But in the last few months especially, the content has been exclusively for hardcore players that can invest 40+ hours a week into the game. This sh*t isn't fun and it's not for casual players. It sucks.

If you can't see that, then maybe you need to go outside some and touch grass.
