Hamlet defense: who got curbstomped?

Gath's 1gil says that community will never do Hamlet defense (after 1.22) even though everyone has been QQing for harder content.

I dont care how hard it is, I'm a miner and I want that mining helm and I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this way, Militia gear is decent (especially for gatherers) so people will persevere.

Also people having trouble, what is your server's supply rating, higher supply rating = harder mobs, I think 5 could be max (seeing as thats what you need for achives) I know people don't have much control over it but I bet a lvl 1 defence will be really easy, lvl 5 will need a good group to clear.

For those with DoL, are you finding attack down or HP down more helpful?

The feed back from the group was HP down. Sleep is really worthless since WARs and BLM's are almost always going to AoE anyways. The 3 way kink combo is also another useless one. It is really only good if your none-tanks gets an assload of hate somehow and if that is the case. The 40 seconds it will take for you to combo everyone who had hate will be dead.


Then again I did go with Insomnia and those nuts have Darklight out of their crusty black armored rear ends so survivability may not have been an issue with them and faster kills was the goal. From what I saw though the HP down is the best.

harder = better rewards, so make it harder = good

My party won first attempt and we won 1 anima for our efforts! We haven't been able to do it again but it really dosen't seem worth the effort.

yeah i got one win so far and was rewarded 15 anima & dark matter, but like u said if u only get some anima and maybe some gear theres kinda no point in doing hamlet defense really. i thought you would get seals for winning but im not sure yet since i only got one win, thats why i asked before. but if you did get seals for winning that be nice since thier is quite a bit of GC gear thats cool looking and good.

Won with this setup:

2xWAR, 2xBLM, 2xWHM, 1xBRD, 1xDoH

Defense buff was priority, followed by regen I believe.

Collusion BLM's as frequently as possible.

why did people assume youd get seals?

Hamlets were not company related
