What you really think scholar is as cool as samurai? That's funny. Some jobs being “cooler in theme”
Nice to know you don’t even have a sense of internal logic, like actually what the hell are you talking about
As for the rest of your post, I’m not burnt out I’m just over square constantly changing the game when I want to play it. I’m glad that you are getting endlessly catered to (it must be so enjoyable to have no idea how to play any job so every change has this degree of mysticism) but some of us want to play but are sick of in our eyes dumb changes by the devs
Dumb changes, yet they make the game more successful. Interesting theory. What the hell are you even talking about?
Your concept of what’s “cool” is entirely personal. To me SAM comes off “weeb” which is about as uncool as you can get. Every SAM feels like they wear a fedora
And as for your “the game is getting more and more popular so every change is good” manta you need to get with the times. The population has cratered since the end of EW. We are in SB numbers now
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
That's because of MSQ being way worse than EW. It puts me to sleep and is why I am still level 95. You are not understanding the engagement metrics correctly, which makes sense, you want to draw conclusions that favor your perspective.Your concept of what’s “cool” is entirely personal. Yes I’m the one who is trying to generate a biased perspective not the one who is like “every single change is fantastic and this is a trend and is an amazing thing………but the crashing population numbers are 100% not caused by this at all….nope no link at all it’s all the MSQ”
Real balanced perspective you have there

Covid is also over, there are a multitude of reasons for the decline in popularity that make sense from a logical perspective.Yes I’m the one who is trying to generate a biased perspective not the one who is like “every single change is fantastic and this is a trend and is an amazing thing………but the crashing population numbers are 100% not caused by this at all….nope no link at all it’s all the MSQ”

Smoking gun is how successful the changes to summoner were though, and that the developers continue to move the job design in that direction while having full access to the engagement metrics of their game. You think they aren't basing their decisions on what sells? You think they don't know what they are doing from a commercial perspective? Very naive of you. But it makes sense, since you want what the majority dont.
What smoking gun of SMN engagement, SMN is back to being trash tier in terms of play rate, not to mention you’ve ignored my examples of the AST and MNK reworks that haven’t made the job more popular (I can also point to the 6.0 NIN changes that crashed its popularity)Covid is also over, there are a multitude of reasons for the decline in popularity that make sense from a logical perspective.

You have one example and it’s barely even an example
