Can I have my Scions back?

I like the Scions well enough but they're at a point where they're not adding much to the story beyond just appearing to appease their superfans. They need to either experience some radical growth or transformation or be sidelined long enough for their reappearance to mean something.

I don't really get that. I look forward to MSQ updates because I think of the Scions as my character's close friends, and it's just naturally nice to have those friends around. I don't look at my real life friends and think "Bob needs to show some radical growth or transformation or I'm just not interested in being in his company any longer". Sometimes it's just nice to be in the company of people you like and are comfortable with.

I honestly wish the Scions were inserted into content outside of the MSQ/raid quests. Considering Tataru's involvement, I was really disappointed they weren't the last visitors to my island sanctuary. I would love to come across Alphinaud and Alisaie just present in a crowd enjoying the festivities during one of the game's holiday events. It would just give the impression that they're out there living their lives in the moments between our adventures.

Anyway, I feel like the Scions have had more than enough growth at this point. Aside from obvious events coming down the line (e.g. Y'shtola finding a way to travel between worlds and possibly spending most or all of her time on the First) I don't have any major expectations for any of them, and I'm fine with that. I'm happy to enjoy adventuring with them just the way they are. I feel like our characters have earned the right to just enjoy adventuring with them without any of them inserting self-inflicted drama anymore.
