I do. 7.2 same content rails as before, even more content dripping. I do not need to write essay about balance here.
Almost entire unit of developers/game designers has to go with Yoship. FF14 can only be saved with people who actually want to work on game.
Just curious, what do you think would happen if FFXIV failed?
I believe it will be first close down NA/EU data centre and some players flooded into JP data centre before the game close down
JP data centre would probably run for some years
When FFXIV actually close down I don’t think there will be a replacement MMO.
Subscription base MMO not as profitable as some micro transactions or mobile Gacha game
The believe to be promising Blue Protocols close down before it even reach international release.
SWTOR have to turn to free to play mode, and still couldn’t capture the same glory as it first released
More and more game support multiplayer content like Monster Hunter. Franchise release a “sequel” with the same formula every few years and players still seem happy to pay the AAA price. I think we are at the dusk of MMO
A lot of people here got disappointed by FFXIV in some manner (my biggest gripe is how hand-heldy everything became) and want to punish Square-Enix by making FF14 fail, that's why just scouring some of the threads I've seen people push against roleplayers by clutching their pearls at erpers, taking an aim at raiders, all masked as feedback but with the intent to harm the communities that still enjoy aspects of this game.I believe it will be first close down NA/EU data centre and some players flooded into JP data centre before the game close down

Honestly FFXIV is still a behemoth in the MMO space, a lot of people had the same ideas around WoW and even a major scandal and a bleed out of talent did not kill it, quite the contrary actually.
For someone who has been entertained by this game enough to have leveled nearly every class to 100, you sure sound bitter.
I ama sorry but i don't play 10 years with rose tinted glasses like some hardcore square worshippers here. The only thing that "changed" arr/heavensward formula to me was introduction of ultimates. Google says 2.0 released almost 12 years ago btw, same content rails.
Also "entertained by leveling" is a stretch.
So the assumption you're going with is that if someone is enjoying themselves then they must be in a cult and/or wearing rose tinted glasses. Got it. It couldn't possibly be that they're simply enjoying the game.. that wouldn't make any sense.I ama sorry but i don't play 10 years with rose tinted glasses like some hardcore square worshippers here. How is it a stretch, by the way? You literally have to play to level up, and leveling all the classes to 100 is no small amount of time investment or effort.
I'm just trying to understand. Do you hate-play the game or something? Is this a self-punishment thing? Do you just not own any other games and are forced to spend all that time in this one? Because if you're not enjoying yourself while leveling nearly every class to 100 then what in the world are you doing?
I personally don't get the unrelenting rage to want to ruin people's jobs over not liking the direction of a game when you can just unsub and look for something else to do, like at the end of the day this is just a game.
I personally don't understand how people like you will go lengths to defend multidollar company guys that probably visit office 3-5 times a month and work for 10 hours total. I am Data Engineer, i get paid just like people you are trying to defend but 0.0000001% their salary, while having 1000000% times more responsibility to customers/business.
People would like ff14 to strive, while mentioned by me people (and many more) just want to burn money on side projects thinking they are valve like developers. I can't imagine telling to business "nah i am not going to make staff work faster on your end, everything works so i won't upgrade; btw one liner fix to python function will be deployed in 4 months, thanks for understanding".
If you can't see similarities to what SE is doing in last sentece, I legit can't help you.
