Melees should all share the same gear, I don't get why every other job gear is shared with their category but melee has different gear from one another.
Sure, just let tanks use slaying accessories too. I need more Direct Hit.
Honestly I wouldn't mind this considering how little damage i take in duties, maybe letting us have slaying will actually mean active damage output is a slight threat so i have to use defensives wisely.

I mean yeah just make ninja and viper have strength, have one melee DPS set (old ones can just be changed for just strength even ranged).Making ninja and viper to use slaying accessories would be massive nerf to both ninja and viper when both ninja and viper uses dexterity as a main stat while slaying accessories have strength as a main stat and don't have dexterity stat.
Making slaying accessories work on both ninja and viper they needs to change ninja and viper main stat from dexterity to strength, remove scouting armor set completely and make ninja and viper to use slaying armor set.
I really don't get the point of having different gear sets for melee other then visual ones (which usually are just recolours lol)
your ninja can have REZ using mystery chemicals from a flask.
If any alteration is going to happen to the accessories system, it should be combining healing and casting types.
i would eat the hit if it meant that i didn't have to spend more time farming bis. not everybody cares about optiJust adding dexterity to slaying accessories still going to be huge nerf to both ninja and viper due to big drop of critical hit stat when many of slaying accessories don't have critical hit stat and this would require to increase both ninja and viper base critical hit stat to negate loss of critical hit and some other stat changes to other base stats that being effected with changeing ninja and viper aiming accessories to slaying accessories.
Problem with making all melee DPS having same gear now would require making massive overhaul to every melee DPS jobs and to their stats when melee DPS armor sets is divided to three different gear sets (striking, scouting and maiming) with own stat variations while melee DPS accessories is divided to 2 different sets (aiming and slaying).
Only way they could make all melee DPS jobs having same gear set without need to making massive overhaul to melee DPS stats to make single gear set for all melee DPS jobs is by making sinlge gear set that changes it's stats based on what melee DPS job it's being equipped.
