I think it's time for him to step down and pass the torch.
I think it's time for him to step down and pass the torch.
The time for mmos has ended. There will be no new one unfortunately. It is a relic of the ancient timeI honestly wouldn't mind a new FF mmo at this point.
I look back on ff14 now that a lot of the older content has been ruined by the levelling system, too many fundamental changes I doubt they will go back on and the excuse of "well its outdated what do you expect?" ect.
Not to say I'm rooting against ff14 I can see a possible future where it's not just doing well but better then it has before but at the same time a fresh start sounds nice... though the grass is always greener on the other side so maybe that wouldn't even work out.
only really because people think "MMO" is an actrual genre and not just an addition to a genre all that means is 1 its online and has alot of people what matters is what comes after it in this case RPG if there FPS mmo its FPS that matters. all the mmo means is more people and its online lol
and I'm sorry but no its not a genre
if you take out the RPG part all you would have is a white room filled with a bunch of ppl on mmo so no its not a genre its an addon to a genre

Its just SE reshuffling and making things more streamlined and people overreacted to it. Including myself.
Its the same old, with different positions, slightly different positions. There is 0 proof that FFXIV is changing drastically. 8.0 will be the proof of one or the other.
My predictions are a possibility of 3:
1. The game actually innovates, promising a better future for the game in general
2. The game stagnates with the formula repeating 1 for 1
3. They trickle in some minor changes and do the thing where they promise that they are "working" on something in the future but it takes time and the cycle continues.
I think Yoshi got somewhat of a new position when reorganized stuff and CBU3 got made into what it is now and he's in charge of multiple projects... As there was that one piece of news that they were supposedly working on 2 games aside from FF 14 even after FF 16 got released.
Yeah, Yoshi-P said as much what the community really didnt want to hear, but what the company probably pats themselves on the back for.I think Yoshi got somewhat of a new position when reorganized stuff and CBU3 got made into what it is now and he's in charge of multiple projects... As there was that one piece of news that they were supposedly working on 2 games aside from FF 14 even after FF 16 got released.
"Square enix is "attacking" with multiple projects at once" good if they got multiple teams. Bad if they juggle teams between multiple games
That is because a small group of ppl keep screaming to make everything easy-mode or soloable and these companies are caving under even the slightest pressure. We don't need to go back to a FFXI level of needing others, but they really need to design these games for groups of ppl again, give us long term goals, incentives to group up and not give us things like trusts or unsync modes,. They also need to stop catering to the ppl whose parents never told them "no", allowed them to fail so they understand failure is part of learning or forced them to be social during their developemental years. That's how we got a whole group of entitled boomers destroying our world to begin with and we don't need a replay on that generation.
