Your idea of a "worst case scenario" is that Square Enix listens to and addresses the issues people are complaining about? I don't understand the issue with this. Should I just start praying to YoshiP before bed every night instead?
So your answer is 'yes we shouldnt address any issue ever' then. Many will never be satisfied, regardless what issues will be solved or QoL fixes will be made.
They just live for being miserable because it's makes them feel better if they can stir up some discourse from the most trivial things.
And many are here just to watch the drama unfold.
Their entire argument hinges on the idea that because, right now, people are complaining about some glaring issues with the game, that if those are ever addressed, of course we'll just move on to complaining about little things. People complain a lot about the big things because they're big things, not just out of the love for complaining.

Anyone noticed that for some reason white knights forum start date is always either like 5 days ago or 50 years ago
Not that forum state dates mean anything (like I’m a legacy player) but has anyone ever seen a white knight who’s forum start date was like 2019
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I'm not saying it's flawless.
There are issues that needs addressed, without a doubt, but the amount of unreasonable posts about 'fixing' it and everyone making a new thread about their ideas instead of consolidating constructive feedback in a few is not helping the case.
The result is bickering, cynicism, whiteknighting, drama and doomers driving the genuine people away that also look for a positive experience and exchange it with others that the forum could provide.
Nowadays I look onto the XIV reddit, of all places, that provide a balance the community desperately needs.
Yes, I am a sucker for new players telling their awesome stories of their first steps into the game.
Because the forum certainly does not provide the environment anymore for it.
I see we hit the "apologize for the devs" arc of the replies to this post, people complain cause the games dog right now and has been heading this way for a while. Don't flippantly dismiss them by saying they're just gonna complain about something else later and that some other forumbase talks about lore more, if you want to talk about lore, make a lore thread, if you dont want to engage with the complaints and have actual counter-points then leave the thread. People have genuine complaints about the game because they want it to be better, not to just complain and feel bad about the game or to make your experience worse or to slag it off (barring the odd outlier and meme suggestions). Get over yourselves, as for form submissions, maybe people want to yknow... actually discuss and bounce off each other what they feel is wrong, you can buzzword that with 'echo chamber' all you like if it makes you feel better.
Let the people speak about what they feel is wrong and how the video touched on that (or didn't)
Game is ass, played since ARR, done mostly everything, it went off a cliff during endwalker and is still freefalling, sub lasts till may and im gone, hope others still enjoy the game but for gods sake let people voice their complaints, this game and its dev team are not some deity to be praised and feared, its a product YOU pay for
This is the forum where the devs send us to give critiques on what’s wrongI'm not saying it's flawless.

Why the hell would anyone be posting about how exciting it is to reach HW for the first time
Like that’s literally not what these forums are for

It's hub for players to engage with others, which also means posts of their favorite places, outfits, looks and whatnot. ALONG with feedback posts.
We even got a section for helping new players.
Open your eyes and look properly around the forum, please.
