I'm not hyped for it, I am not wondering "what happens next". The only thing I am wondering is how fast is this patch going to drive me to press the "Skip cutscene" button, especially with how fine 7.1 was cutting it.

Agreed. The only thing this story has me hoping for is that we get out of it as quickly as possible, and move onto something (hopefully) better.

Gulool Ja will be exactly like Zero, and learns the power of friendship and then works to rebuild Alexandria.

Alexandrians will learn the power of friendship and then suddenly their fear of death goes away.

Somehow Kuja and maybe Necron will appear because this is a FF9 nostalgia bait and once we kill Kuja/Necron the power of friendship blesses everyone and suddenly everyone lives happily ever after.

There you go, save some money and come back in 2028.

More like it feels like a kingdom from a childrens story book, where society has been purged of anything bad and wars can be solved by sharing your snacks. Just when I thought they had purged the nuance out of the game and taken the power of friendship trope to a rediculous degree, Yoshida and Hiroi got together and were like, "hold my taco"
