Make it built in to place items by X, Y, and Z. There is no reason not to do this. It's not an impossible task considering that there is already an addon that lets us do this. The addon is very easy to use. So much would be possible if this was built-in to the housing system.
It wouldn't destroy anyone's game to just allow us to place a wooden loft by:
X= 4
Y= 3.2
Z=0
Rotation: 0

These are great! They are about 2 lofts long so I use them as railings on my lofted area.
I’d really like a set of stairs with railings to match though!![]()
They are pretty awesome. I use them too but I wish there were more options.
Whether it be via toggle or a permanent change, I think it would be far more beneficial to enter into a Small house at what is currently the basement floor.
Having gone from an apartment to buying myself a small house, at first I was honestly shocked that the initial space of the "main floor" was smaller than an apartment's. The reasoning behind this eludes me. In my mind it makes more sense to revise the "basement floor" as the main floor with the stairs leading up to an upper floor.
I'm not saying the whole layout of a small house needs to be completely reworked. Simply moving the door down so that it enters into the larger floor. As shown here with the Imitation Closed Door:
(And in the case of FCs with the door leading to personal rooms, that could be on one of the two wall sections in front of the stairs, as shown above. I also thought 'underneath' the stairs would work, too, but the new Minimalist interior makes it so that wall isn't there...)

How about allowing us to move the door and placing it where we want? That would really be great when decorating.Whether it be via toggle or a permanent change, I think it would be far more beneficial to enter into a Small house at what is currently the basement floor.

Yes I’m all for having the option, though I personally wouldn’t prefer having a basement entrance myself. The way most small housing skins look, the ground floor is the entry floor, the basement is totally underground, but there’s an attic floor from the looks of the outside that we don’t have and I’d really like to! lol
But it would be great if this interior remodel feature eventually gets more and more layouts added, with the ability to move doors and/or windows.
Another thing this picture makes me notice is the two different sizes of pillars most houses have, the ones in the corners being super thick, and the ones on the wall being a much flatter version. I would like to see a layout that has only the flatter version for each housing district’s style. As well as a pillar-less for each district’s style and not just the minimalist.
I agree! Of course when I say moving the door, I did imply that of course windows and such be added to make it feel like the ground floor.
Then again, that could be rectified by the player with window items, but that's purposefully making the player waste slots if they want to use the default walls.
Hopefully this gets taken into consideration if more layout designs are implemented with alternate entry points. (Heck, for a small house with a basement entrance being on the 'side' --opposite the stair wall--as an example. Basically giving the whole layout a quarter turn.)
Please give us the option to let minions roam around like we can with Island Sanctuary.
