The way I see it, moogle treasure events are for relatively new players. As in players that haven't played for 10 years. They help them to catch up with rewards that the rest of us have, so they don't have to grind out beast tribes, extremes or rare drops like the mount in Ala Mhigo, rare TT cards and the Falcon mount many players missed out on from the login campaign years ago. They tend to put popular glamours on there as well.

If you aren’t a level where you can unsync for things like the mounts or the dungeon gear do you really need to be “retained” during a deep lull

True, but I think they tend to be useful for people who just recently beat the MSQ as well. It can help retain them if they think they are "done" now MSQ is beat, but it's not very useful to those of us that played for 10 years and got all these things already.

I'm sure it works for "light" veterans - in the sense of veterans that have played a while, such as for a year or two, but not... 10 years.

is it really the time to worry about people who complete the story 1 year after release or new players while loyal paying customers for years jump out because theres nothing to do
and the other thing is

2nd why not include stuff which is maybe not solo able with normal dungeon gear. why not implement stuff in there for people who are playing the game more then once a year. what blocks you doing both?

They should always care about all the varieties of players, including those. This content is obviously for them to help increase activity during patch lulls.

They need a separate solution for that obviously. Like repurposing their backlog of older content and adding random elements to it and rewards that affect power/gear-progression, since a lot of people on these forums seem to be power/gear-driven rather than mount-driven.

Well some of it is RNG or more grindy than it would be just collecting the mogtomes.

Yeah that's the bit I don't understand. Like the Shisui gear from the last one is pretty decent glam, but you can run that in under 5 minutes unsynched.

They always throw these worthless furnitures in there, why not add some of the rare stuff up for moogle tomes at least, like Neon Lights.

The fact that Monster Hunter Wilds drops just two days after this event makes it hard to care. At this point, I honestly question if it’s even worth engaging with the event. They waited too long to drop this.

Devs are both out of touch with the community, and clueless on what to do in their own rights.
