I know I'm getting old when I can't tell if a picture like that is genuinely trying to be ironic, or if it's going for comedic double irony.

Seriously, with no disrespect meant in this question - is that an image of a guy doing some sort of "I'm a huge, oblivious nerd" comedy bit? Or is he genuinely sitting in his 1980s action figure room advising others on their pop-culture spending habits? I honest to goodness cannot tell.
