There is not enough on the store. If I get more patch content, less time in between them, and 1 expansion's gear with Graphics updated plus 2 dye channel each patch post 7.0 rather than just the meager Scions mogstation gear in 7.1 then I will pay 200000 South Korran Won for the Lv 1 Square Maple Shield as a mount that I'll never use.

The way I see it, if it's used by an MSQ or story character, then they don't want you to be able to use it since it keeps those MSQ characters unique. But they are willing to let you anyway if you pay them.

"Add an arbitrary obstacle in the game then allow players to pay to get past the obstacle".

This kind of excuse used to be reserved for the most egregious f2p games but apparently it now also applies to ff14.

Has there ever been a named character's unique hairstyle added to the game that wasn't from the cash shop? Because at least from what I remember, it's pretty much always been the case.

Yea but the difference is, iirc was it always stated in the past that the Income from the Cashshop flows in things like better infrastructure etc etc better said back into ffxiv, not in every other project square has

This is a problem with their transparency. We have no idea:

A) if they are on fire, bleeding out workers, lacking funds

B) directing funds to other projects or THE GAME THEY GET THE MONEY FROM

C) Have a burning code/engine to deal with.

The best we get is "please look forward to it" or "thats a bit difficult, but we will see what we can do"

Everyone just smiles and takes it. Or at worst. DEFENDS the total silence.
