I don't even care to know specifics. I don't need spoilers. I would just like to hear, "Yes, we plan on implementing a wide variety of open-world things in 2.0."

I don't know if anyone has brought up,but the broker/AH/Market Wards are now instanced areas, no longer the open world of the city... WTF.... why is this game one instance after another... so many instances and I just bought this a week ago
Actually market ward is just a zone, people can enter and leave when they want, that is fine.
What is not fine is these mandatory instanced raids(to get any type of good gear) that are pretty much all the same. Lets not forget you have to have 8 people. Also, each gear will be worthless with each new patch.
To be fair, I do like what they're doing with the primal weapons. While the Ifrit items do have the edge, All of them are viable, and with a few stat system tweaks, perhaps it will be possible to use each one in different character builds, which I'm a huge fan ofActually market ward is just a zone, people can enter and leave when they want, that is fine.

Why do i need to go into a different zone for the market wards? Why cant it just be an auction house like ffxi? and another thing: If everyone is just going to sell in the Ul'dah part of it, then why dont the 3 different brokers get combined to one... It's just redundant to have the 3 different zones when most of the items are sold in the Ul'dah zone....


I'm for open world too. Too much instancing removes the entire "massively" feel from the game...
I really hope that the current abundance/reliance on instancing is the cause of server/engine limitations. I'm referring to events such as hamlet defence for this.

Sure is ignoring open world content amirite? Especially when they force me to go to Natalan for Vortex Totems for Garuda, right?
Have you tried doing those imperial invasions? Enemies randomly pop up and disappear. It's horrible. Imagining Hamlet Defense with an open world would be great, but I never took into consideration the character limit.
For 2.0, yes, I would love to see more open world content. Hell I'd be fine with adding a lot more mid-level dungeons and open world activities. It's just not possible until then. Most people clearly cannot understand that.
