Can we get an official FFXIV account on Bluesky

Instead of debating politics on an FF14 thread, is there even any actual merit that would even motivate them to make an account? Is the algorithm better for Twitter as far as seeing stuff you want vs don't want? Anything fancy like that? Or does everyone just care about politics and only politics? Cuz the billbionaire who owns Twitter definitely doesn't care about a few people in an echo chamber of a forum going "ha take that i delete my account >."

If Square Enix cared about anything be said on these forums, they would be moderating it, and curating posts to make it a more productive place for topics they can consider when designing future content in the game.

They allowed it to be come lawless, and they barely enforce anything other than the most blatant violations. They don't care about feedback, and they haven't taken this place seriously since at least 2020.

The draw is precicely that you can turn your timeline into what you like to see. You don't care about politics? You will not be bothered by it. Unlike twitter there is no algorithm harassing you with content you don't care about.

Bsky also has nice filter options that help you keep track of people you follow. Overall it's also a less toxic environment, my experience there has been better than on twitter.

WAY less bots, no ads should probably also be noted.

I don't know if you get hit with politics if you make a new account there now before you start forming your "bubble" since I've been using it for a while and seen none of it. But alot of twitter folks turn bsky into a political deal saying this is where all the woke and radical lefties go. It's a right vs left thing really. Very cringe.

SE are very unlikely to set up a social media presence on a platform with no ads, since they buy ad space

The userbase also overlaps pretty hard with other platforms they already have a presence on, making the investment redundant

And considering how low the adoption rate for bsky is in japan rn, especially since the majority who bothered to switch after last year's block fiasco either moved back to twitter or went to mastodon/misskey instead, there's just no real reason for them to create an account there
