This extremely disappointing.
My FC and I have been asking for tabletop pizza for YEARS, as we intended to make a pizza joint.
Imagine our disappointment when they first put the eat pizza emote behind a campaign unavailable to us (we're outside US) and "fortunately" later on cash shop
The tabletop pizza is even worse, it expensive for what it is,have limited use, and you cannot make it non interactive version of it.
This effective made us let go of that dream.
Putting the promo emotes on the store makes sense, since they tend to connect them to IRL instances or companies in some regard - like the KFC Emote that's JP Only(even though us in NA don't get it with it being prevalent). This extremely disappointing.

I do have problem with how they localize them, though, since it feels more like they're trying to focus on 'culture' than they are just including something broad. Their thing on Furnishings technically needs to go as well, since there is a MASSIVE catalog of furnishings from events that haven't be reintroduced in years, like the Christmas Tree that runs for essentially 10M+ Gil or more.
Regardless, I'm going to sit and wait to see what they actually do next, because the content cadence has stepped up a bit to keep people playing from what I've noticed.
7.11 Being Ultimate on 11/26, 7.15 being Hildibrand(and other things, which I'm keeping my eyes peeled for emotes) 12/17, 7.16 being Chaotic CoD 12/24 in the current line-up. So we're essentially looking at a 2/3/1 Content Cadence, with whatever crap they throw in-between.
The emote section of 14's store is $272.50 in total, as noted in another thread I got bored and did the math. The majority of this is $7 emotes, out of 56 emotes on the store 25 of them are $7. I just go very curious and ran the numbers here after seeing monetization being thrown about a lot recently without much actual data.

Well thanks for calculating that. Shows how much of a cash cow they've been trying to make it.The emote section of 14's store is $272.50 in total, as noted in another thread I got bored and did the math. Alright. It's been a while - and considering this is an old thread that's mainly been about emotes, let's go on the side tangent, shall we?
THIS.
So...where do I start with this?
Let's start with monetization. We're literally looking at one of the priciest outfits on the store - that actually can come INDIVIDUALLY! Like, what the actual f*#$ SE? We've got details that actual make sense, from the beanie hat to the arms, not to mention it's slick.
$22.00 for a single outfit. There are a few other outfits on the store that cost that same amount, and it's kinda annoying when you go to the amount of detail added to these outfits, compared to those that are in-game and cost nothing but what we already pay for. Like, if we could get the same level of detail with our normal gear, maybe we could actually get something nice.
Hashtag cashshopstrike?
I am very grateful that they eventually unlocked those ancient NPC emotes for us. That's a lot of effort from SE, we have to respect that!
Not sure if I understand, but for example Scientist Attire and Wintertide had quite some detail to it? I am happy to see that they finally made some free quality items. I agree tho that $22 is too expensive. Besides, as I already mentioned in another thread, this set doesn't even offer two unique shirts like Streetwear, only one shirt model with a variation of it. Rip-off.Alright. It's been a while - and considering this is an old thread that's mainly been about emotes, let's go on the side tangent, shall we?

I stopped consuming cash shop because it's getting ridiculously expensive and the game is lacking. I am considering to unsub if 7.2 is disappointing, so I don't bother buying anything.

I'd tolerate the cash shop if stuff is account wide....but yeah nah

Here we are again. We got a Jojo Pose apparently, but that's about it. Small Patch for a drop in the bucket is still a step towards reaching 10%(which honestly will probably take a lifetime given how SE LOVES to abuse monetization...)
