Emote Monetization needs to Stop.

Okay, as we build up cash shop emote library, can we have a /spit emote, please? With a proper "hawk-tua" to it, with fluid physics and everything. I will pay top dollar for it to use it on anyone who is trying show me their fake, pay-to-win egg cooking skills.

Not an emote, but still a monetization issue:

Wind-up Zero is in the game now and linked to an EndWalker OST. Wind-Up Erenville was just announced, and he's a bonus for a Dawntrail Artbook.

CS3, you need to stop putting major party-member character minions as bonuses for outside purchases. If you absolutely insist on doing it this way, minions like this need to be account-wide unlocks.

Time to update the thread. We got a new Emote this patch - and thankfully it is obtainable in-game. This brings up the % very slightly, but it is a drop in the bucket.

Not just emotes either. There's plenty of monetization of gear, mounts, etc. too. There's a reason why this meme exists:





From what I remember, the devs came out and said all the money from the cash shop goes back into the game, but I don't believe that for a second. A good chunk of that cash probably flows into the pockets of SE shareholders if anything. It's really just as believable as the time Yoshi P said the "scary baroness lady" was the person in charge of the cash shop and he has no say whatsoever in how its run.

the funny thing is i keep saying to myself, doesnt SE want my money? because i want this game to be so much better lol. id pay for new costums on the mogstore, id pay for nice QOL changes, and id happily stay subbed forever if they did better content. but i think they do not want me money lol

If anything I'm surprised /shakedrink wasn't mogstation exclusive given how many people were wanting it
I'm not surprised about the hanu hanu emote being free though, they typically give emotes like that out with beast tribes granted it's usually reserved for the end if memory serves correctly

Wasn't Laliho a regular quest in the village, and then Lalihop was the emote reward from the tribe quests?

Looking at all the emotes added this patch, only 1 is unaccounted for and could be Mogstation.

It's a very different issue with outfits, 2 new original outfits (but one is more street style), 2 collab outfits and 2 NPC outfits. All of them Mogstation.

Yeah I had forgotten that you unlocked laliho very early on and is required to greet villagers with which I imagine is what we'll need to do with this one.

I would need to look through the questline again, but I do think you get it from a blue quest from one of the dwarves which I believe does lead into the beast tribe.
I could be completely wrong there, it's been years.
