Why casual players don't 'just leave'

Hey! I'm a causal, I play the game and don't complain. This is just an expensive 3D chat room for me.

Login, check Island chores, alt tab, watch Netflix, leave in game notification on, alt tab back for A/S hunts. Every hour check retainers. Occasionally if I feel bored, I will go level up another job/DOL/DOH via custom delivery or beast tribes quests.

The fun for casuals like myself is dungeon runs and hilarious stuff that happens in them and story content too, but all the people that talk trash have 4k hours or more, always. I'd consider those people vets. And after those 4k or more hours they still hate sprouts and are still paying a sub for some reason, and that's the thing that doesn't make sense.

Some of my most memorable in fun moments in game is doing a dungeon, raid, or trial with majority sprouts or new to the content. I play Paladin often and I get to use all my support abilities to keep people going. I got varmiglianda (sp) and only me and the other tank knew the fight. We wiped 2 times but the other tank and me led the fight and coached the group on the mechanics. The 3rd time we succeeded and no one died. That is the stuff I live for. Nothing better than chaos and helping new people clear the content

You need to have an active subscription to post on the forums. If you are unsubbed for 4 months, you're not capable of posting on the forums. That post was made on jan 7 2025. So either the poster still has an active sub and was lying. I called him/her/it on the lie.

Did M4s day 2, few reclears to get bis, unsubbed, and I resubbed 3-4 days ago (my static started FRU early january)

I think it's a result of the lack of new casual content, and the quality of what we do get like the pitiful DT society quests.

Swtor isn't on Maint, Broadsword are doing pretty well with Swtor and while sure it's nowhere near as popular or funded as it was it's still not in Maint Mode yet.

You want an example of an MMO in Maint Mode? Play something like GW1.
