The terrible stutting you get when first going into Uldah is usually the Harddrive loading up masses of files (A SSD would fix this stutter). Once its all into Cache/Memory it evens out nicely.

Yeah, the immediate increase in data sent to your computer results in to a slight drop in frames per second (usually 10-20 and sometimes completely halts until caught up). I've been meaning to look into a SSD myself to help supplement the slight lag spikes I get when walking into the adventurers guild in cities.
