    You're right, we should go back to dungeon vomit. There was a rationale for that and it wasn't cuz COVID. But go ahead keep talking about something that was already being established and discussed before COVID even hit lmao

    Let's go back to the ARR era, because that was peak... Right?

    I liked the idea of "sequel" dungeons that (Hard) provided, so I'd be absolutely fine with it. Expert coinflip remaining completely static for 9 months is absurd.

    While I liked the humor from the quest, it was still just 1 quest. It felt condensed. I was expecting a longer quest chain.

    I would be fine with it if they could actually combine the number of dungeons with substance (Which is what I am talking about substance), but even then there were a fair amount of the ARR dungeons at Hard Mode which just weren't that interesting. But then you need to try and look at it in the perspective of, what have they used the resources from the now discontinued 3 dungeons per patch in favor of? Which sort of trumps the whole "More dungeons = better", for me personally. I'm down for talking about issues with content in the game as much as the next person, but with modern design I just don't see merit in more dungeons for the sake of being able to say "We have more dungeons again"

    Frankly expert dungeon roulette pool and the roulette pool from High-level dungeons. That would be my solution to the egregious Expert roulette, but alas that is a different topic entirely.

    It kind of was. We not only got 3 dungeons per patch, we still had 7 ex primals, Ultima and Odin, additional story and Hildibrand trials. So much relic grind it kept you busy for months (yes I count that as an upside), plus crafing and gathering "relics", we got coil savage (which were more like 4 ultimate turns), the whole Gold Saucer and of course the usual stuff like alliance and "savage" raids. Hildibrand, Moogle and that riddle quest. Five beast tribes, now we are down to three...

    And of course treasure maps, the hunt, housing was all new and exciting content as well.

    They even dropped a whole new job mid expansion with Ninja.

    I recall this Hildibrand thing being a thing the "Fans wanted more of" and they graced us with more of this. I would really want to know if its because of a huge outcry from the fanbase or because the devs just want to push this on us.

    I loved the quest, but yeah... where is the rest? What am I supposed to do until the next patch?

    Forum says casuals are too stupid for Chaotic raid anyway, but even if I tried that content, what else am I supposed to do now? Run treasuremaps for 290491st time?

    I feel content-starved.

    Honestly much of this was just merit of being the initial game that built the foundation of everything. Unless they develop a brand new game they aren't going to really replicate the bulk of the core systems introduced, in addition to having 50 levels with which to spread duties across. Savage coils were the closest thing this game had to an Ultimate, but they still weren't ultimate difficulty, and a good bit of the difficulty of those raids were also attributed to being badly designed where you were forced to actually withhold damage as to not push the encounters into utter chaos. I am staring at you Melusine.

    Personally when I look at everything in ARR, versus, say everything in Shadowbringers, I am picking the ShB 99% of the time.

    Between taking a single serving of slop, or a two course meal of slop.. I am taking the single serving every time, in fact I would prefer not to be served it in the first place, which is why I am not a fan of, say 3 dungeons or even Hildibrand entirely (even if I will inevitably do it for the 40 achievement points and random rewards)

    As much as I'm not an Hildibrand fan (except for the HW section that I gueninely liked), I feel like this one quest thing is a joke. I mean it was not gonna be something huge, but seriously that or nothing, it's the same. It's really looks like a poor excuse to make it looks like there is something to do in the game when looking at the patch note. Having only one Hildi quest on its own is not really a problem, but in the abyssal emptiness that is the content right now, it looks like another sad joke.
