I feel like its a joke at this point. Why not make it for viera and hrothgar when you are making something from scratch anyways???? What??? Are they using all the same models on everything and havent bothered adjusting it to viera and hrothgar still?? Theres so much stuff in this game that could be fixed instantly if they just hired 1-2 new people. Or just made their already working there people focus on this a while it would be fixed in like a day im sure. What is this management????

I haven't played the game for that long. I started around one and a half year ago as a Miqo'te and then changed to Viera and have been Viera for over one year. I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for people who started playing Viera and Hrothgar on release or anywhere near that. I am not a big headgear-wearer when it comes to typical tank-ish plate armor helmets etc, but I do love something like, for example, pointy witch hats and cozy winter hats. The feeling of missing out has grown so heavily on me that after over one year of playing as a Viera, I changed back to Miqo'te, but it doesn't sit right with me. It doesn't feel like my character. I don't wanna change her into someone she is not only to be able to do something that is so basic in any other game - wear hats. All the frustration about that and the overall burnout from the game made me cancel my sub recently, that's why I want to voice out my opinion here while I still can. I really hope that once I decide to come back to the game, I will be able to just grab a fantasia, change back to my bungirl and be able to wear anything I want without breaking any ToS. My hopes are not high though.

And I also agree that I would rather have the bun ears clip through hats than not be able to wear them at all. So many hairstyles, horns and tails clip through some gear pieces already and I've never heard anyone say "hmmm, my Au Ra's tail clips through this dress weirdly, so it would be great if they made this dress unaccessible for the Au Ra overall".

Not pictured, but I will give credit where it is due. Viera and Hrothgar can wear the new Society Quest Hat. Well done, CBU3 and whoever went out of their way to make this happen. Thank you, sincerely.

However with every hat we do receive it seems we miss out on several others that follow. Almost as if to distract us or soften the blow. If it turns out Viera and Hrothgar can wear the hats displayed I will happily admit being wrong about this one. This picture comes from the special site once again.

These seem to be the rewards for the new Chaotic Alliance raid. Honestly I would like to know ahead of time if we can wear these so I don't suffer the despair of earning a headpiece and not seeing it when I equip it. The raid I imagine is going to be a challenge to grind. Not being able to wear all of the gear again is depressing.

Once again, in fairness we sort of got the idea of this ahead of time during live letter, but it is being added soon so just getting it out of the way now. Please feel free to add to discussion.

Based on the community it looks like the hats/helms are wearable for Viera and Hrothgar for the Chaotic Alliance Raid gear. Well done, and thank you CBU3.

I am sorry you felt the need to change back. If I didn't love my bun so much I would make the switch to Au'ra. I hope you'll return soon and recover from burnout. Lovely Miqo'te btw!

Honestly that's probably all it would take. Many have suggested this. Just hire some people to work on QOL fixes for gear. Could even hire them via contract.

I just wish CBU3 treated this as a priority issue, because it's like they're doing it on purpose when they add new gear.

I would very much like to wear hats on my hrothgar, and so would my friend who plays hrothgar as well. It really stands out as a sore point in the game's imperfections, and to everyone I've talked about it with, it makes the game appear... faulty, essentially. It sounds absurd that a game with this much weight in the industry has yet to finish (or even schedule?) a feature that seems so simple.

Then again, in many other games with hats, they will hide your character's hairstyle or give you a placeholder. I have heard hair is one of the main reasons why hats are limited for hrothgar and viera (and why many hats without hair are enabled). If that is true, I think many players would tolerate the hair-replacing method used in other games, if they had to. Anything is better than nothing.

But really, I just want progress. Any progress. Some more transparency about it.
What's being planned? Can we expect gradual updates to which hats are compatible in future patches? Were they working on it since Shadowbringers?
Surely something must be done. As it currently stands, 2 of the game's races are being left out of something every other race has, and we're paying extra money for premium outfit pieces we can't use?! We have to buy the full outfit, and we can't even use the headpiece. Not ideal!
