The issue for me with non-steam sales is regional pricing. The mogstation doesn't take into account regional currency value, for me, buying Dawntrail from the mogstation would cost nearly double the price, and with the sale price its still more expensive than the game is for me on steam without sale

I am on Brazil, having regional subscription pricing saves me so much money over the years that it makes up for it by a lot, anyone living in countries with weaker currency would have a similar experience.
