Don't get me wrong, but this is exactly what is wrong with PvP. Can you imagine going into WoW PvP as a newcomer as example, and getting 2k+ rating in 1-2 weeks with no real prior knowledge?
You will probably reach diamond if not crystal here, it is totally possible with time for first timer. And you are having fun which is great. But you probably already peaked, you can't get much better now, skill ceiling reached, because it is low by design.

I understand what you're saying but you are making some wild assumptions.

I have played in CC (unranked) before, I had around 50 matches more or less before the new season began.

I also have been playing front lines for at least 2 years with multiple jobs, and I have experience raiding in savage and a bit in ultimate.

So, in other words, I have some experience with PvP formats in 14 and also have a bit of a min-maxing attitude/mindset towards the game. I am not 100% brand new to PvP as you said, but I am to "ranked", where I never queued before because I did not know what to expect.

Since it's the first time I played ranked CC, I am quite happy with my performance overall, minus the horrible experience I had with silver before I could reach gold.

My pattern in silver I kid you not was sometimes win 1, lose 5 consecutive matches. I almost uninstalled the game hahaha

My pattern with gold was more or less the opposite, for every 3-4 matches won I would lose one sometimes.
