If I had to guess, it's Ascian Prime's Dualstar, the way the mechanic works is that you will be given three sets of spheres, one in the center and two in the corner, the spheres are connected by a tether, and they will be pulled to the center of their connection and explode, and you have to dodge the AoEs based on their element, fire are circle AoEs, ice are donuts, the kicker is, the window for dodging is unexpectedly tight, and you basically need to be moving to the next safe spot before the first set resolves, worse, because of how the spheres are arranged, someone getting hit by the second explosion will always be hit by two overlapping explosions, which guaranteed kills anything that isn't a Tank, and if the person who eats the explosions is the Healer, and one of the DPS isn't a SMN(RDM doesn't count, Verraise is level 64 and this is a level 60 dungeon), it's basically a guaranteed wipe, as Ascian Prime will fire a barrage of unavoidable damage mechanics immediately after, and even if the Tank lives, they will then do their limitbreak right after, a Tank alone can't stop it before it fully charges, and then that's a wipe.
I always have a "...oh dear." moment whenever I walk into that dungeon, and if we make out of it with only one wipe I count it as a huge success, zero wipes is reason for outright celebration, I had a particularly bad one where I joined an in-progress Aetherochemical Research Facility run 76 minutes in, they were stuck there almost the entire lockout, and it led to a Vote Abandon a few more pull attempts after, it sucked that I lost my que time, but I was actually feeling too bad about the other DPS, who just went "I am so tired..." in chat immediately before the vote.
If it's any consolation, the last time I was there we wiped a few times before people managed to get it. I personally don't like the change they made because I preferred the old version, it feels like they're trying so hard to reinvent the wheel sometimes. I used to run that dungeon often for poetics but now it really isn't worth running.
Before it got reworked it was pretty alright, definitely better than falling asleep to Nero's speech back when prae was 8 man (I mean I still struggle not to fall asleep while Nero rants)
I assume they want the old MSQ stuff to be more of an onboarding process for more modern things, like how Ultima Weapon has some toned down UWU mechanics, but Ascian Prime is rough. Even ignoring Dualstar, people have trouble with chains because they start running before the chains form or start too far apart. If it's any consolation, the last time I was there we wiped a few times before people managed to get it.
