Ideally it should just automatically update your portrait if you change gear, especially if a gear set is already tied to a glamour plate. Like yeah. Duh. Of course. Don't ask me. Just do it.

I think it's pretty nice though the execution on how it updates is pretty scuffed....I guess I appreciate the popup so the portrait I worked towards doesn't turn somehow into a mugshot.

I also see can see other people's portraits which is really cool. Unironically I think portraits were the best at beta and they botched it cause many people were having sus shots.

They love creating new error messages and prompts, and will continue to do so.

The second beta(?) system worked far better, before they were specific plates. Sure you didn't have the same ability for variety, but they didn't need to sync to gear.
I think the endgame is just an option for portraits to automatically sync to gear without having to ask.

Portraits are good and fun. There is, of course, always room for improvement.

I like the idea of portraits. I hate the way this whole thing was implemented. It absolutely feels like this wasn't properly tested and now they are building more and more buttons and windows into it instead of doing it from scratch. A portrait, once set up, should be able to auto-update. No pop ups!

People were horny with it sadly...I think the way we have it prevents people from easily showing 2B assets in the plate.

Better yet, I think portraits should work like the adventure plate portraits, you take it once and it doesn't need to update 69 times whenever you update your gearset.

Do you retake your driver's license pic whenever you enter the car? This is how the current system feels.
