I like to rate the portraits myself personally. A creative or cute portrait is more likely to get my commend these days then just having the default DMV Mugshot staring at me. If you...ahem, "ride" the portraits yourself then...well who am I to judge.

having your portrait break upon entering a duty is just skill issue. It's so easy to understand how it works, that blaming the system itself is just an admittance of you being unable to understand it.

how hard could it be to set up one portrait to be the same regardless of your current class/gear? why won't they just do that instead of adding this bandaid fix (this being the popup window thing they recently implemented)

it's fine as a short term solution, but they have a lot of other options that would be less of a headache
