The dev team has neutered so many jobs at this point. Healers, Monk(since day one shall I remind you), Dark Knight, Machinist, Samurai (atleast partially), and now we're seeing the same thing with Dragoon and Gunbreaker. And that's not even limited to combat jobs, remember when they forced Greed or Pass for everyone in Alliance Raids? Well.

Fellas, I will be blunt: It's over. The balancing team is obsessed about changing things for the sake of change, and does not care about your fun whatsoever. You have seen this time and time again for most of the jobs, and that will not change. Not a single soul asked for this change, and they do not care.

You will not have the fun you previously had with the game anymore, ever. If anything, 8.0 will make it worse. Give it up.
