Why? Just farm your totems, wait until you can buy it and let the people who got lucky drops enjoy their shiny mounts for a while.

People whining because they don't get instant gratification at every turn is the reason that patch content lasts 2 days and then there's nothing to do for 4 months. You don't need everything immediately.

99 runs is absolutely not instant, or fitting what instant gratification is or would bring. It takes time, a lot of it in fact. It should be rewarded too.

Don't know how people can defend waiting months and months and months just to be able to BUY the mount from the shop.
Just make it instantly available to buy, an 8 month wait is just not a good feature at all.

It's 50 runs and you are rewarded because that's enough runs to get the mount. You just have to wait a few patches.

This so much, i had to buy most of em, to the point it just feels pointless doing em, cause why torture during release when you wait months anyways and could as well wait for nerfs...

All of my bought ones have that... ik its silly, but they feel tainted to me, not earned, all i feel using em is the surrender to the droprate and waiting for ages...

Drop rates are not even the only issue. It's the fact that those low drop rates still need to be divided by 8 in order to get the actual chance of winning the mount, when farming via party finder, because people understandably leave after they won.

Why would anyone farm the totems for a mount now? They actively incentivize players not to do the latest extreme. Can't buy the mount, but when you can buy the mount over half way through the expansion the drop rate is increased and by that time you can already clear it faster with better gear. And if you don't give in to instant gratification by waiting just a little longer you will soon be able to do it unsynced. Or you can wait to get it for free in a future mog tome event.

That's what makes it special. The whole point of it is as a symbol of bragging rights. The fact that you were persistent enough to beat the odds (or lucky enough) and get the mount. Once it's older, then more people have a chance to get it, and it's less prestigious. Thus, they raise drop rates and add the pity buy.
