Echoes of Vana'diel FFXI Alliance Raid

Would have liked to have seen a little more alliance specific mechanics than just a short moment with the third boss, but still better than Aglaia. Doesn't quite match up to Copied Factory and especially Rabanastre (Hashmal, my love. Despite the simple attacks, you had many moments that required the alliance to split into three).

Maaaan finished the raid last night and I got the feels so hard. I really do wish it was more. I honestly want exploratory zones of what was show with the updated polygons, assets, and textures (though I know it'll never happen)

And at the end, I about burst into tears.

I'm just so happy I got to play a raid that has some teeth to it again. First run had two wipes, second run had one wipe, and I had a blast in both. The Myths of the Realm fights had me so bored except for on-content-release Nald'Thal, but now gear is so overtuned as to make him completely toothless. I'm sure this raid will get overtuned in time, but I'm enjoy the raid actually taking effort and hitting hard while I can. It brought back some memories of the day 1 NieR raids, which I loved.

I never played XI (well, not enough to know anything about the story), but I enjoyed the story and world they showed us so far and am looking forward to where it goes next.

It's a UI glitch, I had the same thing, went back in, and got an armor piece.

I don't know what people are excited about, I just did the raid and it rolled over exactly as easily as Aglaia. It doesn't hit very hard and while it has some novel tricks, once you figure them out, they're nothing special. The final boss is just a memory test again. I'm honestly really disappointed. Hopefully EX3 is good, at least.

I thought the raid was very fun, but I do think everything is already dying rather fast so I am just a little worried for how much will be skipped when we gear. I don't think that stuff needs to stay intact all the time, and I don't mind skipping stuff when it's the next expansion or even the end of the expansion, but it's only day two so it's a shame it feels that fast already.

I think they should increase the number of orchestrion trade-in items that drop. Three is not enough.

Yeah it's a nice idea but good lord. 3 in 24 that you need like 9 of is a lot of runs. Maybe make it so you get 1 per week guaranteed, like the coin or something?
