Some of you trolls make me gnash my teeth something fierce.
I believe they are doing these events in FFXIV because it is something familiar and loved in FFXI.
I reserve my judgement, as usual, until the PvE/Dungeon content patch is released.

Well I guess that's the "information" we were getting this week.
Pretty disappointing.
least updates are fairly on time as well as the holiday events. DCUO which is out on both pc/ps3 (seperate servers) Are late on updates AND holiday events. Their valentines day event was AFTER valentines day. The update with st patricks day (a non religous holiday last I checked since its all about eating food and drinking beer >.> and leprichauns oddly enough) is on an unknown date but some time in april. Maybe.
ps this game is worst off then ffxiv is. Sure it has content but its broken, bugged, or you freeze or DC daily.
LOL, as I expect when a troll went to FFXIVcore forums and try to promote DC Universe online but got kicked out immediately by the core users (include my ultimate sentence "go back to......")least updates are fairly on time as well as the holiday events. I can't understand some of these replies.
We are getting content. The planning and execution of seasonal events do not compromise this in any way.
The question is then simple: would you rather wait with or without these events?
They're giving us something to do while we wait. There's no other way around. They are focused on the other content and even if they scrapped the events, we'd have to wait exactly the same time for the content we want to come.
So stop complaining and go hunt those eggs![]()

I don't want to know that we're getting content.
No shit we're getting content.
I want to know ABOUT said content.
everyone want new contents but they pissed off because Yoshisan doesn't mentioned about the core system fixing, the main issue that everyone want to get fix firstI can't understand some of these replies.

Like Yoshi-P said, as soon as the content is in an advanced stage, they will show us screens and info.
They have to test if it works the way they are planned. Would you rather they announce something and deliver something completely different? Like at launch? XD
Its just that almost all the replies in all the posts are just variations of the old phrase "MOAR MOAR MOAR".
I'd rather they didn't announce anything at all.
Of course they're in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, but the lesser of two evils would be to keep your beak shut until you have more substantial info.
It's the old adage: "You give 'em an inch, they take a mile".
If they gave us no information, people would complain.
If they give us little information, people complain.
If they gave us detailed dates, people complain if they can't release on that date.
It's a lose-lose situation, and the people who complain about this stuff really need rethink their lives.
