But yeah, I agree they are nice. Though they have hanami (blossom viewing) during golden week too.

I assumed they were peach trees since we received peach branches as bell gifts. Peach and cherry blossoms can be fairly similar looking. Anyway, they brought me joy!

First off: Yes, Christmas and Easter are both Christian only holidays designed by Christians. But what they did is place Christmas near the Winter Solstice and Easter near the Spring Equinox to help them convert pagans who had their own holidays at those times. Just wanted to correct you on that fact.

No "correction" needed here, I think. Dubont said, "Easter and Christmas were not originally Christian holidays..." which is exactly what you said, but with more details. To say that Easter and Christmas were originally Christian, and were not originally pagan is like saying that an omelette was originally an omelette, and not originally an egg--just because you sprinkled in a bit of cheese and fried it (sounds a lot like sprinkling in a bit of religion and changing the name, eh?).

However, a big "no" to the assertion that Christmas and Easter are "Christian only" holidays. Just as the church commandeered the winter solstice and spring equinox, the rest of us have claimed Easter and Christmas entirely for our own! Perfect example of this, a close friend of mine knows practically nothing about Christianity and has a bit of a hard time understanding religion in general, having grown up without it completely. However, she has always celebrated these two holidays with festive trees, Santa, the Easter Bunny, and egg hunts.

I'm sorry, but your analogy is just doesn't work.

Christmas and Easter are different holidays than the holidays pagans celebrated near the Winter solstice and Spring equinox. Completely independent of each other. It just so happens that they decided to place Christmas and Easter near those dates to try and convert pagans to Christianity. So yes, Christmas and Easter are Christian holidays. Though I will make an addendum to that below:

This I will admit is true. Christmas and Easter are no longer necessarily Christian only. Much of western culture has commercialized them so that even people who aren't Christian participate. They don't necessarily have to involve going to Church and participating in religious ritual, seeing as a lot of people just buy each other presents and go Easter egg hunting.

Doesn't change the fact I'd prefer to see a non-religious holiday to a religious one. ^_^

Of course they're in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, but the lesser of two evils would be to keep your beak shut until you have more substantial info.

Salvage = end game event, "Kupowers" is a system to try and draw players back to the middle lands as well as, given the proper selection, help low level players out since Kupowers are still fairly limited in nature even where it's in effect (dungeons still lack mob chests for example.)

Salvage = a system to try and draw players to the new areas. "Therefore it's not an endgame event. It's a system" -Elexia

Seasonal Event X = system to try and draw players to old areas, as well as help low level players out with bonuses that are limited in nature. "Therefore it's not a seasonal event. It's a system."

Kupowers started as a seasonal event to promote their anniversary, which S-E later lengthened to last permanently.

I think most of you guys forget they already said that all major patches would include more and more world quests in the game world from now on until they had a decent amount.

I think postphone the seasonal events till we get content. Its a wast of tome and INV space. But most of all a waste of TIME. People wont stay forever to see the develope
