Relegating the "what content to enjoy" question to user made activities is defending and excusing a developer unable (or unwilling) to push long lived content in an MMORPG out on an earlier date.

you're moving the goalposts. i simply said that if you don't enjoy the content (or playing the game) then you should use your money to tell the devs you're unhappy with it. should they do better? sure, i think everyone has been feeling that there's less to do right now. but remaining subbed to a game you dislike and spewing hot air about it on the forums hasn't done anything yet and probably won't. use your money, because that's what corporations care about.

Quite a lot. Farm the new extreme mount, do PvP for 2 months for the FOMO rewards, do daily beast tribes for a while for its rewards, do the alliance raid for some weeks until got its unique rewards or alternatively any gear that is wanted, do the unreal trial twice a week, farm orange gatherer scrips for the new mount.

They added a bunch of new rewards to various currencies like hunts and FATEs but those are quick to farm.

I'm sure im not alone in thinking this, but after next week, heck after today. what is there to even do? or is it just back to clubbing and rp for me? all the things I was really looking forward to chaotic alliance, Planetary exploration... new expo zone.. aren't even in this patch and everything is weekly locked. The ex was cleared by me in just 1.5 hours of prog with only a simple raidplan and some random party finder.

nothing, it's why i left my sub to run out in 2 days, beast tribe is the only thing to force you to keep up with daily, the rest of the stuff you can just outright collect or buy

Do beast tribe dailies over multiple days, do the MSQ in a single day and wait.

I was excited for the new housing changes, but then noticed it's half finished with you not being able to dye the dumb white parts, white ceilings and more. The stairs look extremely jarring too and you CANT remove the pillars in the other housing layouts. So you have this "minimalist interior" that absolutely forces you to use multiple housing slots to cover those white parts unless you like them because you can't dye them (AT LEAST I HAVENT FOUND THE OPTION).

Honestly, short of hardcore content, you have the PvP changes and then nothing for a daily option.

90% of their talent as game designers goes to harder content so I recommend u get to it! Not that I agree they should focus so hard on it but its just how things are and you might be missing out on really cool ideas.

I finished the MSQ and alliance in one evening. So...nothing for the next 4.5 months.

We can complain about the writing, while people who have only ever experienced FFXIV as their first and only story driven game don't actually know better and tell people to stop playing and quit / no longer pay attention to the story and skip the cutscenes are doing the game a service. Even with the subpar writing - it's the complete lack of acknowledgement from the dev team and the "Fanbase" who have never experienced anything story driven outside of this game demonizing anyone who points out the obvious flaws of the writing since the Endwalker patches with excuses such as "It's hard to follow on from the Hydaelyn Zodiark saga!" that is driving people away from the game.

The very people who religiously defend the writing and tell people to stop complaining are the very people who are killing the game, because it's perpetuating a feedback loop that there is no hope for improvement, given the devs refuse to acknowledge it, and there is a culture of shutting down anyone who desires that hope for a better future for the writing of this game. Almost everyone I've played with in this game for more than half a decade has quit, as the average person won't even bother complaining before moving on.
