Garuda Weapons are weaker than Mog!!

I would prefer lower damage lower delay, if done right it gives more dps, it gives more tp which means more weapon skills, low delay and dmg but high dps > high dmg and delay but low dps.

Only time you want high dmg and delay is for WS, but it will need a parse to see whats better, also the crit att power on some and additional wind damage bring the parse up.

Ifrit weps still gonna do more dps on ws tho but the blm wep is boss 25 magic acc and 30 int best blm wep.

Gurada weapon will grant more TP per second which means more weapon skills though.

If you miss with a slow weapon you also take a bigger penalty to DPS, although its probably not a big enough one to make a difference lol.

to the point of the OP.... DPS would be a great indicator if all damage was done by auto-attacking

for instance....

Garuda's Talons
Damage 115
Delay 2.8
DPS 41.1

Also Ifrit boosts ATK while Garuda boosts ACC

And thats all fine and good if the only damage you did was auto-attack

but since the Ifrit also boosts weaponskills, which can't be determined by DPS and aren't directly affected by delay (Especially when you've got TP song and invigorate) then isn't the value of the Garuda talons diminished?

I actually really like what they're doing with the primal weapons; They're not straight upgrades, but more sidegrades, allowing for potential unique character builds once stats are finally worked out well

Exactly. In terms of raw dps, Garuda weapons are superior. Ifrit weapons now do more damage per hit, but Garuda weapons do more damage per second. So take your pick!! Finally we have weapons that are equal if not superior to Ifrit weapons!! Woot!

And did anyone check out that Evenflow materia?! TIV gives +16 acc and +16 store tp, and im guessing the usual max of +20. Do you see the potential here??? WS spam ftw. Especially if you're an arc and out of danger...holy fuck lol.

No because faster hits means more TP, higher accuracy means less misses, It's impossible to tell without parsing it properly.
