I am absolutely disgusted by how some of you even entertain the idea of death threats and say it's justified due to the VA poor performance and her dumb takes on social media. Nothing justifies that, there is no future for us as a civilization...

If the VA is being sent credible threats on her life she should be going to the police with those to have them investigated. They are a serious matter and not something you keep around just to use in an argument against other people.

The sad truth of the matter for me, this will be the first time I intentionally skip cutscenes. I'm so done with the character. I don't want to learn more about her. It's too little, too late. The expansion has been a huge disappointment. I play for the story, and the story was beyond lackluster...

The example I saw her use was some guy just rudely telling her to strike for as long as she wanted because she did a bad job in DT. I think that guy was then doxxed by her followers and deleted his account.

The problem is one of those white knights is Yoshi-P himself, who's done exactly that in a few interviews now.

Thats the thing. We didnt. Its so surface level, much like everything in Dawntrail. Down to the dumb Mamool banana problem cause they were too dumb to try anything else or I dont know... have their oversea warparties find a solution. My tinfoil theory is that part of the Msq was AI written. Most likely just bad writing from a bad writer though. It felt juvenile and it felt like it was talking down to the intelligence of its audience. Most people who play MMOs are adults. The majority arent teens or younger. Have some integrity and respect for your audience.
WHICH THEY DID earlier, but now? I dont know what happened. It feels like Yoshi P is gaslighting us because the patch stories are already made and cant be changed/they dont want to change them. So hes selling a "mentor arc" and "we hope to show more of Wuk Lamat"

If that's the case, I'm very disappointed with the writing team. I always thought they take some sorts of pride in their writing (especially because ShB was peak). DT's story was basically the main plot of Pokemon Sun/Moon without its charms. At least there we took on the trials by ourselves and not babysitting a house cat for 10+ hours.
Yoshi P is such a gaslighter and an enabler if he's going to ignore the feedbacks. They should've sell this story for a different game and for a different audience.

I don't know what to say to you yoshi p. I feel like at this point many of us have raised really valid concerns without attacking. But I personally believe that this va doesn't behave professionally. Can I level with you? Her acting is really kinda sticking out for all the wrong reasons. Lines fall flat and emotion isn't their. Please I beg of you to consider these points carefully, because I know you love and care for this game and it's staff, but we.. your players feel ignored and honestly.. invalidated.

Also. I'm concerned about how you want to show us more of her.. it feels forced. Like a kid begging you to like them, and I'm afraid you just can't force this from us. Please just consider benching wuk and making a character more like sir aymeric/lord hein/merlwyb. I could spend hours in thier company. Wuk lamat just doesn't have the same charisma and unless you personality transplant her. Nothing she does is gona make me like her more

I'm still hella confused about one thing: when did we ever mentor Wookie? Even this interview mentioned that. We only were there as a mercenary at best, cheerleader at worst. The only time we managed to rein her anger is when she was upsetti after her Papa's death... but I think that hardly counts as mentoring.
On a side note, I'm not sure about her complexity either. A box of tissue paper is more complex than her. You can make a tropey character complex and fun, sure... but not at the cost of everyone else's development/screen time.

I feel like we were intended to be seen as some kind of mentor or more experience knowledgeable companion to her, which is a role I would have really liked to see play out given our experience, but due to the limited nature of our dialogue it didn't really come out that way. They can't really give our characters any kind of lengthy or in depth dialogue because they've designed it so we can give our character any kind of attitude or personality we want. So it looks like she ends up coming to most of these conclusions herself while we stare blankly at her or emote exaggeratedly at her silently.
