Wow, it's almost like the same particular demographic that is a minuscule portion of the playerbase but the type that participates in these kinds of things doesn't like a certain type of character *shocked pikachu face*...
idk who she is either, but that is because the Wuk factor made me skip the entire expansion after I got fed up with the objective "speak to peace craving taco kitty again" around lvl 93 and she went on her 78346th rant about wanting peace.
For anyone wondering, Shale is the Elezen woman we interact with in Cahciua's secret base in S9, she's the one who tells us Krile's earring is basically a USB flash drive.

In your dreams are we the minority of the playerbase. But keep showing everyone here how little you know young one.
At some point you'll have to start extrapolating these results to the community at large especially as you have no proof whatsoever that this isn't how the community feels, but I'm sure you're just trolling for a response. I have to hand it to you, I've done my fair share of trolling but not even I can muster up the irony to pretend to like Wuk Lamat.
Her being trans does matter because its blatant DEI, if they weren't required to hire a "minority" then they could have hired a person who was a good voice actor instead of them to adhere to the quota.Yup. And it's obnoxious because it's only a handful of bigots in a sea of normal people, but Twitter/media is latching onto those same 5-6 bigots spouting their nonsense to crush any discussion of it on certain platforms.
I seriously hate the Wuk Lamat's voice actor is trans discourse so much. It literally doesn't matter. I think the voice actress has done a bad job, but that's not because she is trans but because she can't read lines right. And people don't dislike Wuk Lamat because her voice actress, but because Wuk is freaking annoying! JP/EU also hates her and they have different VAs!
Dawntrail sucks, Ive made it to the first dungeon in the story. Worse FF story I've ever played.

youre projecting. Not everyone actually 99% of people dont like this stuff. Its literally DEI that pushed for the voice actor of Lumat to fill a quota. Its very obvious that universally she isnt liked. Shes a terrible VA and the writing is some of the worst I've saw in gaming.
You can assume "the racist/bigots dont like it because its a trans!!" but that isnt the case. No one cares to be called that anymore, stay on the topic at hand and realize that we can not like something.
Can't blame everything on the poor quality of voice acting done, Wuk Lamat's VA had her moments, but then suddenly dipped horribly. It was very inconsistent.youre projecting. But I've noticed the lack of quality in the other VA's too, it's like the direction wasn't there either for the English side in DAWNTRAIL.
There's always this thing I notice in a lot of dubs, that Japanese VA's actually ACT while sometimes English VA's just phone in their lines like they are reading from a paper, not being IN THE SCENE, showing us what the characters FEEL.
I feel like a lot of this expansion was that, a lot of the VA's just didn't act, sometimes Krile actually sounded lobotomized. Whether that's because of the schedule, bad recording location / timing or bad direction, I don't know. But I do know this, for the first time since ARR I'm switching to JP voice acting.
