    You sound kinda unpleasant.

Anyway, the crown isn't supposed to be a flex, it's supposed to be used to indicate you're a knowledgeable player to others. If you're wearing it and don't know what you're doing or don't play well it makes sense for other players to criticize you.

It sounds like you're not really doing anything mentors are supposed to be doing, you're just wearing the crown for the crown, which is one of the primary reasons mentors have a negative stigma.

A mentor pushed me to cut a line and made me hit my knee. It hurt. I know he was a mentor because we were in a burger king and he had his crown on.

I wear it because I welcome players needing help.
    But-
I will give advice when asked.
I practice player etiquette but will not force people to.
I will never actively preach sprouts when they do not need not ask for it. That is just obnoxious.

I have been out of the NN because it is really not that helpful and most information is readily available online. Honestly, that global chat has evolved so far from what it is intended to be.

I do not claim I'm pleasant nor actively want to. I really just want to enjoy my game in peace.

So based on my experienced I shared, you are basically saying since we wear the crown, we are no longer allowed to have IRL emergencies? Since we wear the crown, we are no longer allowed to prog hard content and know a mechanic right away? That it is FINE for people to be hostile and toxic to us? Wow... Interesting take. Says something a lot about you.

Was it the line for the boba drinks?
That was me I think. Sorry, not sorry.

As it stands all a mentor will do is teach you bad gaming habits, and give you information you can find with a google search *IF* they interact with you at all.
I do not want to be taken seriously. I just want to not experience hostility and toxicity for reasons less warranted.

Sometimes, I don't even bother raising any longer on certain people because they don't even make the attempt at getting out of the mechanics at all.

So, thank our community for turning a somewhat decent system of recognition into a hate show. It's almost as bad as politics in game, and you posting some sign in your yard that you are a Mentor, only to have this community take a virtual dump on your lawn.
This is why I only interfere when asked. Because often than not, trying to help just puts you in a bad light.
I will not remove mine just because people don't like it. If you don't like it, don't look at it. Put me on blacklist and hide me for all I care. I am not adjusting, and nor should you.

Seems like. Seems like most people think mentor means you know everything, including stuff you literally just got into. SMH my head. Some people.

You said you've never given a comm. Commending other players who tried to perform well would be an example of good etiquette.

Once was helping a mentor team lift a heavy box. They lost their grip, and box sent me flying to the ground from the weight.
