The issue is that there are actually alot of these already, across places like youtube, job guide sites, and discord servers but players don't seek them out. While now isn't really the time for new guides(jobs will change slightly in 7.1 so guides may need to be updated) beginner level guides are over-saturated, and due to how cc functions there isn't really much beyond "this is what your buttons do" to be understood before your in the territory of 100-0 mnk combos or blm cc chains. The information IS there, players just have to seek it out. There are several decent guides on youtube(i cant think of any off the top of my head but they do exists), as well as rhia's guides(can google rhia pvp guides), or in NA pvp discords there are plenty of guides + players willing to answer questions.

There are plenty of job guides, sure. Is there basically zero strategy in CC? Because I've looked for such YT guides and haven't found anything useful. I play it when it's on my Wondrous Tales and have little idea what I'm doing.

Edit: Like, is this the extent of CC strategy? https://rhiaguides.carrd.co/#crystalconflict

Unless you're regularly playing custom games with a full party that's all there is. It's pure solo queue for majority, and everyone is only playing to look out for themselves. The only 2 things you are doing as a team is killing what's in front of you and pushing the crystal. Other than that you're on your own.

This sounds like the Casual Queue experience.

Not even close. But it's hard to put into words because most of it comes from experience and feeling.

However there is definitely big outlying themes that could be made into guides, like positioning for dummies, what to do as a melee, what to do as a ranged, how to rotate and manage resources, how to burst and who and where, how to respawn and hold... and that's just barely touching on the universal aspects of it. A lot of it also lies directly on knowing what each job is able to do, and how to play around them and/or what to expect from them.

Okay you have piqued my interest again. Although I will say I'm always skeptical in any game when the "experience and feeling" business is used as an excuse for the lack of clear dissemination. I recognize both are essential, but whenever something allegedly cannot be put into words, I'd suggest the aficionados simply have to try harder.

Which in fact you hint at in your second para.

It can be put into words. It's just hard unlike most pve things those days because it's not binary, mathematical truths so you need to consider carefully what you're written if you're worried about not falling constantly into blanket statements and keep some measure of rationality.

And one of the main reasons people tend to go more easily with clips and replays to have someone check them and tell them what they did right and what they did wrong is that it's literally about experience and not hard set rules.
