I'm not sure where to ask this but I was wondering if they said anything about making apartments bigger?

They only mentioned making a size S house interior into a large interior. So, they didn't mention apartments. But I would think if you can turn an S into an L, why not turn an apartment into an L? It's the same principle and it would alleviate the housing crisis a lot because the housing crisis mainly exists due to people not being satisfied with the size of an apartment

Once apartments start encroaching on plot sized. It begs the question of why would anyone stick to a ward house (small) when they have to keep a Perma active sub. If you get an apartment that rivals the size but cant be demolished?


Which is why I think apartment could use a 250/300 item limit. Giving the players the ability to create multiple rooms within a apt, without need to overall change much else.

While it could be done, I’d rather see apartments get their own unique layouts in each size… a small apartment could be what we currently have, medium could be a little larger, maybe with a built-in loft with stairs up to it in the back, and large could either be multi-level and/or have an “outdoor” (instanced generic neighborhood scenery) balcony where you could have garden plots and other outdoor furnishings.

I think that would go back to my usual stance of “an apartment is housing but it is not a house.” lol That’s why I’d like to see apartments get their own unique layouts in each size… like Studio, Loft and Penthouse, using my example in my last post. One, I think it would be weird to go to your apartment door and open it to a space of a large house! But two, I like having different types of housing in the game. Apartments just need some love when it comes to variety of space!

I like Empyrean and that it's high in the mountains but did they have to give it a hot spring? I'd like a housing district with an ice surface of some kind.

Crystarium player housing is my dream, and there's even a sightseeing point where you can see a neighborhood called "Rapture"! It would be a great place for the next housing district, and I've been saving a bunch of furnishings for a few years now in hopes that it might happen.
