I think what they are saying is that the mage weapons and bow are not yet available. The word "class" was just used as a catch-all, instead of naming all of the corresponding jobs.
the garuda weapons say class/job while the others only say class, so maybe its a typo on there part but my interpretation of the text seems valid.

so the old reforms have nothing to do with these new items
im not talking about if the items were in game before, im talking about the streamlined concept. I know a lot of people looked all that stuff and im not saying they should or shouldn't have it, im saying its going against what seemed like a streamlined format.

But hey, I could be wrong.
It's in the patch notes, they are class only, as is the darksteel armour.

Class only weapons make sense for those times were you may want to play as the classes such as solo farming, solo leveling, going as a class on content X because Raise, etc.

    Don't see why not.

well hopefully they make them op to make solo easier then i can just use classes in raids and be op.

see what i did there, it dont make sense

crafted job only stuff should of came first, more incentive for jobs not the other way around.

If you look at the patch notes, next to garuda weapons you see, "Required: ARC, BRD" for the bow, for example, but next to the new darksteel bow you see, "Required: ARC." No BRD. I'm pretty sure they're class only.

Class/Job double standard lol Jobs can have job only gear but classes can't! Yea, issues with class only gear is just silly, seriously it's an incentive to use classes but if you don't find the weapon useful then don't bother with it, still no clue on how useful they'll be but they might be pretty potent considering there difficulty to obtain.

They are going about gear in an interesting way though, it's hard to work in the fact that you only have enough arms to hold onto one two handed weapon at a time so you need a way in order to increase the amount of arms that are useful and find a way to fit them into the game. It's very possible that these arms may have a good sanction on them along with a bonus when doing hamlets so based on the example they gave with the Magic attack potency 60 on the grand company gear, I imagine that if sanction is on these weapons it'll make them very enticing to use.

classes have the armory system, the ability to use a ton of skills, i really don't think they need more incentive then that imo.

Yes, it seems pretty illogical. Obviously new class weapons are not doing irreparable damage to the game or anything, and if anything it's only adding some nice stuff, but at the same time, don't you think it's kind of useless?

S.E. made the decision to make classes useless. Before making gear for classes, they should make classes have a use again.

This was just a cheap way to give crafters content, but then you realise there is no demand for these items.

They are not class only, in video it shows a bard holding the darksteel bow. It was a bard bc it was wearing Darklight Corselet which was job onry.

This is more proof that there are more plans for clases and jobs are not the end all

people need to take a step back and realize that, as it has been stated several times since jobs were announced
