I dont want it. Zelda like auto-jump would be okay.

In Call of Duty, there are both types. You can free jump, and there is autojump/climb if you jump right next to the obstacle. Maybe they should include both for realism.

    Excellent idea! I like that!!

If they can add that, they also need to include finishing moves animation (like Skyrim!) [you can toggle on/off -- happens randomly; only for the last monster of a group; is visible for EVERYONE! ]
LEt me tell you, with finishing moves AND dual-jump [auto near obstacle, free form elsewhere], FFXIV will skyrocket in awesomeness!!!

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
    (Marvelous economics IQ test!)

If the game's all about "skyrocketing with awesomeness", then do you think all realism should just take a back seat because it's a "fantasy game" meaning people should be able to do things that don't even look right or are completely against the established physics of the game world? This isn't a Saturday morning cartoon, and I don't think the direction of "epic awesomesaws xd" is what the majority wants. That being said, FFXIII and FFXIII-2 handled jumping okay, if not a bit clunky on the landing animations, but the only problem is why should a lalafell be able to jump 10 feet into the air just to match the other races?

For that reason, the Rank 45 mission was kinda stupid, in my opinion. But at the same time, jump and finishing moves won't make this game Dragon Ball Z any time soon. These new weapon designs, on the other hand, will turn FFXIV into Power Rangers before there's much chance of that.
