    >Want to kill certain monsters for a quest

    >they're not out because it's rainy

    >gotta wait

Pretty much that, I would assume. I'm not closed to the idea of mob conditions, but I could imagine a lot of complaints. Hell, I'm annoyed that I have to wait for Dodore in the miasma. To make it convenient, they would have to make certain times trigger a type of weather, and that seems too mechanical. I'd rather have enemies appear at all times of the week, rather than certain weather conditions that are at random. They could maybe have it effect certain enemies, like slightly increase their strength, buff them, debuff them, something like that.

It's often the "pointless" things that add depth. Depth this game doesn't have.

20 goats following you was pretty stupid.

I don't mind this, curious enemies was really the only thing that needed to go. If it was brought back they should cap it at 1-2 curious enemies that can follow you at most, lower their following range and make them flee when you enter battle.

So much agreed. I liked it when mobs would just look at you as you ran by, others would flee. I remember that with the marmots in fact. They'd be on the path and as you approached they'd suddenly scurry away a distance. Having mobs that paid attention was nice. They've pretty much fixed the fact that not many moves are AoE anymore, so no worry about a mob wandering into the fray if it gets close. But going into active mode should definitely have them run away if they're in follow mode. Heck I'd even settle for mobs that just looked your direction, maybe they didn't follow you but just wandered a bit closer in curiosity. A timer would count down for the mob and after a fixed period of time the following is ceased and they wander away. It'd make them seem more alive.

Player comes near. An aldgoat in the area grows curious and wanders closer, but stays outside a certain radius. Three minutes later the Aldgoat gets bored, and returns to its wandering phase. Marmots when you get near, would look at you and scurry away. After a certain period of time they might even start to ignore you until you leave their "awareness" range. Some hostile enemies might even look at you but don't engage. Like drakes could look your direction giving you an "Oh Crap!" moment. As long as you don't run, they won't engage and attack.

things that got axed and need to be reviewed and returned are:

    1)Mob AI.
    2)Model Clipping(yes even on players).
    3)Positional Weaknesses.
    4)Old Weather Effects.

    Really like this idea...

Mobs in this game are like retarded ducks waiting to be shot. They sit there and smile and wait for the bullet.

I also hate how mobs sit together in nice and neat little clusters which makes absolutely no sense at all. I understand animals herd and gather together, but this is pretty ridiculous.

Well, the point of an MMO is that there should be a multitude of things to do. If you can't farm those monster at that very moment, then just go off and get something else done and come back when it is raining

I dunno, when making a game, I feel you have to sort of balance between player convenience and immersion/artistic integrity, and I feel player convenience is getting a little to much attention, limiting a lot of otherwise cool ideas and concepts because others don't want to put up with anything stopping them from doing what they want the second they want to. It's kind of silly in my opinion, particularly in an MMO, which is not a genre meant to really be a 'pick up and play' kind of experience

I'm sorry but at this time I could care less about "waiting" when it comes to making something rare and unique'ish. This game honestly needs some variety to spice things up. I would welcome content that could only be activated only if certain conditions are met, maybe have quest that only are activated when a certain weather condition exits or maybe having to kill mobs under a certain weather condition. I vote the first one so I can randomly be running around a zone and it happens to be raining and I see a NM that I don't normally recognize and decide to go at it only to have it smash my face in the ground. Something like that will encourage me to plan and to seek this NM.

As of lately everything seems to be spoon fed to us I think us as a community is just getting fat and lazy. Sry for the slight rant.
